Imbibe!, by David Wondrich (pictured), beat out two wine books to claim the award for best book in wine & spirits. Mixologists of the world rejoice!

The epic wine book of the decade, TO CORK OR NOT TO CORK, was not awarded the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Book. Either this was some mistake OR the James Beard Foundation selection committee needs further refinement and education. George Taber presented wonderful stories and facts in his enlightening book on wine closures and wine vessels.
